We provide several levels of inspection, repair, and system servicing for both valves and actuators as a part of our commitment to support our current and future clients.

Valve Inspection

These common valve problems indicate maintenance or repairs are needed to avoid the expense and wasted time associated with shutdowns:

Valve Chatter: This rattling noise comes from a vibrating spindle or plug inside the control valve body. Left unchecked, valve chatter can lead to wear or even valve failure and system shutdowns.
Fluid Leakage: Leaks contribute to system instability, pressure loss, a lack of control, contamination, and damage to various parts, all of which can cause shutdowns and reduced productivity.
Seized Plugs: When plugs seize, critical system conditions can change, including pressure levels, temperature settings, and fluid flow. This leads to reduced system efficiency and downtime.

For example, the most common type of service entails replacing valve components, like plugs and spindles, that cause common issues. However, if a plug seat, casting, or another internal component of the valve body has sustained damage, we may recommend a full valve body replacement.

Our professionals are available to discuss and help resolve any issue that comes up, providing in-depth answers to your questions. This service can help you troubleshoot problems and maintain operations while saving time and money on repairs and maintenance.

You can reach our technical support team by email, phone, or our dedicated Remote Assistance augmented reality (AR) platform. Our AR solution helps visualize the problem you’re experiencing, which better equips our team to address the issue. The AR platform can be used for any questions you may experience including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, or system repairs.

Actuator Inspection and Repair

Baelz NA can offer actuator inspection and repair services for our electric or pneumatic linear actuators. Oftentimes major electric actuator issues are much more difficult and it would be more cost-effective to replace the entire actuator. There is also an expense associated with sending the actuator back to the factory for certification that may not be beneficial. As far as pneumatic actuators are concerned, these units are easier to repair. Baelz NA stocks complete diaphragm kits as well as springs to fully refurbish the pneumatic actuators.

The Baelz NA Repair Process

Our repair process involves multiple steps. These typically include:

The customer can either ship the component to our facility or a technician can provide onsite support depending on the scope of support needed.
A Baelz NA technician fully analyzes the situation and identifies any faulty components and housing damage. Once the root issue has been identified, our technicians or service team can provide a quote or proposal to resolve the issue.
If the customer wishes to have Baelz repair the component, the repair will be scheduled and completed. Baelz NA can also ship the necessary replacement parts to customers if they prefer their service team to perform the repair.
If the repair is being performed at the Baelz NA facility, the repaired components will be tested to ensure proper functionality, then returned to the customer for reinstallation into their process system.

The cost of Baelz NA inspections and repairs are based on an hourly rate.
