Controllers are designed with intelligent control and automation functions used to efficiently generate and conserve energy for both industrial and HVAC systems. Baelz microprocessors can be customized to meet industrial and HVAC application requirements. Transmitters, pressure sensors, level sensors, humidity sensors, control valves and ejectors can be combined with the microprocessor to create a customized solution for any process. Short lead delivery times are available.

Specializing in control system components of all kinds, Baelz NA offers digital temperature controllers to fit a variety of temperature ranges, inputs/outputs, voltages, interfaces, and alarm requirements. These powerful process control tools offer simple, straightforward performance and operation, keeping your system’s temperatures regulated, reliable, and precisely where you want them to be.

The 6490 model from Baelz NA is a front panel mount design with a 96 x 96mm face.

Digital Temperature Controllers

Process controllers offer critical temperature management and monitoring. The tools read a signal from a temperature device such as an RTD, thermocouple, or pressure/flow/level sensor, and use this information to maintain a consistent set temperature point.

Digital temperature controllers use advanced technology and auto-tuning PID control to keep process temperatures operating at continuous levels with precision and efficiency. Some are built to control both heating and cooling simultaneously.

The 6490 model does not offer position feedback, but is available with a wide range of other design configurations.

Baelz Temperature Controllers

All components from Baelz are built for high performance, energy savings, and competitive cost. Baelz NA supplies to all North American customers with the benefits of local service, a dedicated staff of specialists, and available inventory.

Baelz North America offers a complete catalogue of control components, including actuators, heat exchangers, automation skid packages, control valves and controllers, assemblies, engineered systems, and more.

Deadband

Deadband occurs when a valve lags or fails to respond to a controller’s initial signal. When the controller sends a second signal to compensate, the valve responds but travels further than it should, resulting in greater process and, consequently, product variability.

Hysteresis

Similar to deadhead, hysteresis results in the valve responding inaccurately or inconsistently to a controller signal. In this case, the valve response differs between the upstroke and downstroke. For instance, consider a pressure control valve exhibiting hysteresis. A 10% increase in signal might cause a 100 psi jump in pressure, while a 10% decrease causes a reduction of only 80 psi. The result is process variation that can compound into larger-scale equipment failure if left unaddressed.
